After the viral hit “Try Me”, singer-songwriter and producer Tems unveils her first song of the year.
Tems’ popularity is no longer debatable. The RnB/Soul alternative singer is a close collaborator of Nigerian artist Odunsi and the Alté trio DRB LasGidi. Her smooth and strong voice even propelled her to sing alongside Davido and the American singer Khalid last April. It is therefore difficult to realize that the artist has only four singles to her credit, including “These days”!
The track, made in collaboration with Accra-based producer Rvdical the Kid, explores soft and pleasant soul sonorities. On an instrumental basis reminiscent of the singer’s style, she delivers a moving text on the uncertainty of the present time, a theme that has a particular resonance these days. The visuals, joined by the lyrics, were directed by Danielle Mbonu.
